EIRC Support Classes

Did you know that the Educational Information and Resource Center (EIRC) offers support to NJ NBCT candidates and advanced candidates in a variety of ways? Visit their site to find some ways that you can find the support you're looking for.

Scholarships

There are a few National Board Scholarships available to candidates in New Jersey. Information is provided below. 

  • GlaxoSmithKline Endowed: Available to first time candidates in the Science certificate areas. Up to $750 awarded to those who have not received a GlaxoSmithKline scholarship in the past.

  • Liberty Mutual: Available to first time candidates in all certificate areas who teach in a public school. The candidate must have previously complete Take One!. Up to $750 awarded to those who have not received a Liberty Mutual scholarship in the past. 

  • The Coca Cola Foundation: Available to first time candidates in all certificate areas. Up to $750 awarded to those who have not received a Coca Cola Foundation scholarship in the past. 

  • JP Morgan Chase: Available to first time candidates who teach in a public school with a free and reduced lunch rate of greater than 50%. Up to $750 awarded to those who have not received a JP Morgan Chase scholarship in the past.

In order for a first-time candidate to be eligible to receive a scholarship, he/she must have an active application on file, must have paid the nonrefundable $500 and must submit the scholarship application.

Once a candidate has an active application on file, he/she can access the link to the scholarship from the bottom of their “Fees & Payments” page.

    • Remember that we are a support network first and foremost; we can not guarantee scores.
